Matthew Hagerty

Matthew Hagerty has a wealth of experience in the legal and business sectors. Matthew started their career in 2008 as an Office Intern in the Football Operations Department of the Oakland Raiders. In 2010, they became a Legal Intern in the Office of the General Counsel at Zuffa, LLC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). Matthew then moved on to Octagon in 2011, where they were a Legal & Marketing Intern at MLB Headquarters. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Corporate Counsel and Corporate Department Head at Truitt Law Group, where they managed the day-to-day legal needs of various clientele. After that, they were an Associate General Counsel at Pinnacle Entertainment from 2016 to 2018, where they were responsible for the legal needs of multiple casino properties. In 2019, they joined Explore Academy as a Board Member. In 2020, they joined Brightline West Trains as a Senior Legal Counsel and is currently a Senior Legal Counsel at Sleeper since 2022.

Matthew Hagerty attended Mariemont High School from 1999 to 2003. Matthew then went on to Miami University where they earned a B.S. in Physical Education and a minor in Coaching in 2007. In 2008, they completed their M.E. in Sports Administration at Xavier University. Finally, they earned their J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2012.
