Harsha Umesh Babu is the Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Sleepiz. Harsha has over eight years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on autonomous driving algorithms and software development processes. Prior to joining Sleepiz, Harsha was an Engineering Team Manager at Aptiv, where they managed a team of 12-15 engineers developing algorithms for the Autonomous Driving L3/L4 stack. Harsha also mentored and coached colleagues to take on the Product Owner role within the AGILE development framework.
Harsha has also worked as a Senior Project Leader at konplan and as a Component Owner for Situation Assessment at Continental. Harsha has a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India.
Harsha Umesh Babu has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), a Master Thesis in Image Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), an MS in Electronics and Information systems from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), a Summer Internship in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, and a BE in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Harsha also has certification from the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP) and from Coursera in Cryptography I.
