Luke Gahan

Head of Data Science at SleepScore Labs

Luke Gahan has been working in the data science field since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a Financial Software Consultant Intern at Murex, where they were the consultant lead on the complete redesign of a key component of the Murex Limit Controller. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at ResMed Sensor Technologies as an Algorithm Development Engineer, where they were responsible for the development, testing and productionisation of innovative algorithms for sleep, respiration and movement signals. In 2017, they joined Deutsche Bank as a Data Scientist, working as part of a team responsible for the enablement and promotion of Data Science within the Bank. Since 2018, they have been Head of Data Science at SleepScore Labs, where they have overseen a project relating to the development of algorithms to detect sleep from audio, developed and deployed a product recommender system, and developed various ETL pipelines.

Luke Gahan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dublin City University in 2008-2012. Luke then went on to complete a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University in 2012-2013.
