Bart de Smalen

Bart de Smalen has over 30 years of experience in the beverage industry. Bart began their career in 1990 with the Van Rees Group, where they held various managerial positions. In 1996, they joined Grolsch as Regional Director Middle East and Asia, then Area Manager Asia, Middle East and South America, and finally Directeur General. In 2008, they moved to SABMiller as Director Travel Retail Duty Free and GM Middle East. Bart then joined Universal Beverage Connections in 2017 as Managing Director, and in 2021 they became Sales Director at Sliabh Liag Distillers.

Bart de Smalen attended INSEAD from 2005 to present and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences prior to that. Bart does not have any additional certifications.
