Duncan Smith has worked in the software development industry since 2001. Theirwork experience includes Lead Software Engineer at McLaren Racing (2001), Technical Team Lead at Hitachi Consulting (formerly Edenbrook) from 2007 to 2011, Senior Developer at AO from 2011 to 2012, Software Developer at Ferrari F1 from 2012 to 2013, Technical Architect at Ship & Duck in 2013, and Co-Founder & CTO at Triber from 2014 to 2016. Most recently, they have been a Senior Developer at sharedo since 2016, where they are the Technical Design Authority for their case framework with a focus on UX design, mainly working in .NET/C#, SQL, JavaScript, Vue, CSS, and HTML.

Duncan Smith attended the University of Warwick from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a 1st degree in Computer Science.
