Khush S.

Khush S. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. They began their career as a Human Resources Assistant at Choice Hotels International in 2009 and remained in that role until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Khush worked as a Loyalty Retention specialist at Shaw Communications. They then transitioned to Scotiabank, where they served as a Talent Acquisition Consultant from 2016 to 2019.

In 2019, Khush took on multiple roles at different companies. They worked as a Human Resources Regional Recruiter at Bee Clean Building Maintenance from March to October 2019. Simultaneously, they joined Microserve as a Human Resources Generalist from August 2019 to January 2022. At Microserve, Khush also served as a Human Resources Business Partner from September 2020 to January 2022 and later as an HR Operations Team Lead from April 2021 to July 2022.

During this time, Khush also held a position as a Business Mentor at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University from June 2019 to December 2022, where they provided guidance and support to SFU students in their career exploration and development.

In 2022, Khush joined MediaValet as a Manager in the People & Culture department, a role they held until their recent position as a Senior Manager in People & Culture at Operto Guest Technologies, starting in January 2023.

Overall, Khush S. has a strong background in human resources and talent acquisition, with experience in mentoring, business operations, and team leadership.

Khush S. is currently pursuing Executive Education at the UBC Sauder School of Business, starting in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

In terms of additional certifications, Khush S. acquired a Change Management Certification from Prosci in June 2022. In April 2020, they completed a course on Indigenous Employment: Recruitment & Retention from Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. Furthermore, in January 2020, Khush S. received a Registered Professional Recruiter certification from the Institute of Professional Management - IPM. Lastly, Khush S. became a General Member of CPHR BC & Yukon, earning their CPHR designation in 2020.
