The aluminium rolling mill located near Rome at Cisterna di Latina, established in 1964, has approximately 400 employees. An extensive investment and revamping programme started in 1998, including among others the foil mills, the casthouse, the hot mill and the installation of a new cold mill plus a high-bay storage, the IT infrastructure and the process controls. At present the Slim Aluminium S.p.A. plant has a production capacity of around 92.000 metric tons per year, which includes the production of plain foil, a wide range of coils and sheets, circles and shaped blanks for cookware.
