Marco Celano has extensive experience in the IT field. Marco has worked as an IT Director at Slim Aluminium Group since 2019 and as the Head of IT at Slim Aluminium S.p.A. since 2016. Prior to that, they were an IT manager at Hydro Aluminium Slim Spa from 2007 to 2015 and at Huyck.Wagner from 1995 to 2007. Marco began their career as an Operator at centrifugal machines at Finanziaria Saccarifera Italo-Iberica SpA in 1992. Throughout their career, Marco has demonstrated strong leadership and managerial skills, with a focus on coordinating service deliveries and managing IT teams. Marco is adept at identifying opportunities for IT to add value to the business and ensuring compliance with security and legal requirements.

Marco Celano completed their education at two institutions. From 1984 to 1988, they attended ITIS "G. Galilei" in Latina and obtained a degree in Perito in Informatica, in the field of Computer and Information Sciences. Following that, from 1988 to 1995, they studied at Universita' degli Studi "La Sapienza" Roma, where they earned a Laurea in Economia e Commercio, with a specialization in Business / Commerce, General.

In addition to their formal education, Marco Celano has obtained several certifications. In 2001, they completed the Hyperion Enterprise Training program offered by HYPERION SOLUTIONS ITALIA. Furthermore, in 2017, they obtained the ITIL 2011 Foundation certification from www.apmg-international.com and the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Most recently, in 2018, they completed the Executive Program in Governance della Privacy: il DPO e gli altri ruoli chiave at LUISS Business School.

Slim Aluminium S.p.A.

The aluminium rolling mill located near Rome at Cisterna di Latina, established in 1964, has approximately 400 employees. An extensive investment and revamping programme started in 1998, including among others the foil mills, the casthouse, the hot mill and the installation of a new cold mill plus a high-bay storage, the IT infrastructure and the process controls. At present the Slim Aluminium S.p.A. plant has a production capacity of around 92.000 metric tons per year, which includes the production of plain foil, a wide range of coils and sheets, circles and shaped blanks for cookware.
