Sanil Chawla

Sanil Chawla is an experienced entrepreneur and software engineer. In 2020, they founded Slingshot and became a Fellow at On Deck. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Founder and Executive Director of Hack+, a student-run initiative that uses technology to reinvent traditional nonprofit processes. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Software Engineer at the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, developing websites and digital tools to accelerate the research performed by dozens of researchers. From 2015 to 2017, they were Global Growth Director and NorCal Regional Manager at StudentRND and Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Salusions.org. From 2015 to 2017, they were also Class President and Class Secretary at Mission San Jose High School, where they worked with 500+ students and secured sponsorships. Additionally, they were Lead Director at HSHacks in 2017. Finally, from 2010 to 2015, they were Founder of TechyPeople, a startup in which they wrote blog articles about the latest tech and developed basic software.

Sanil Chawla attended Mission San Jose High School from 2014 to 2018. Sanil then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation at the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2022.
