Tianyao Zhang, PE, BEMP, LEED AP, is a Senior Engineer at Slipstream, where since January 2019, energy performance analyses have been conducted to implement local utility incentive programs, utilizing software tools like eQuest and OpenStudio. Prior experience includes serving as an Energy Engineer at Seventhwave from April 2017 to January 2019, performing design review and energy modeling for ComEd's New Construction Design Assistance program. At Southface, from May 2013 to April 2017, Tianyao fulfilled roles as Project Analyst and Technical Fellow, focusing on detailed energy modeling for various certifications, as well as conducting energy efficiency assessments as an Engineering Intern. Early in the career, Tianyao contributed to designing HVAC systems at the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Architecture - High Performance Buildings from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Environment and Equipment Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology.
