John Dorsey has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. John started their career in 1996 as a Desktop/Helpdesk technician at First Union, where they provided hardware and software support, setup new user PCs, and resolved network and printer issues. John then worked at Pennsylvania Hospital, Genex Services, and Siemens in similar roles, gaining experience in supporting large user bases and troubleshooting various technical issues.
In 2005, John briefly worked as a self-employed IT Consultant before joining Siemens as a Desktop/Helpdesk technician, where they provided hardware and application support, troubleshooting VPN and network connectivity issues, and configuring new user PCs. John also worked on projects involving desktop and laptop configuration and re-imaging.
From 2008 to 2009, John worked as a SysAdmin I/Desktop/Helpdesk at Genex Services, where they supported and maintained over 150 Windows servers and served as an escalation point for the helpdesk team. John followed this with a self-employed IT consulting role, servicing various companies and locations, performing hardware and software support, and setting up new user PCs.
In 2010, John joined Balfour Beatty Investments as a Technical Support specialist, providing hardware and software support to 1,500 users, setting up user accounts, and configuring workstations. John also performed SCCM-based desktop and laptop re-imaging.
From 2018 to 2019, John worked at HighPoint Solutions as an IT Subject Matter Expert/Account Supervisor, where they supervised technical and procedural issues for five pharmaceutical client accounts. John also served as a communication hub between the Service Desk team, management, and clients/vendors.
Most recently, John worked as an IT Support Specialist at Ferrandino & Son, Inc., from 2019 to 2021. John supported internal and remote users, managed office and territory managers remotely, and resolved technical issues across two offices and national territories.
Currently, John is working as a Quality Control Engineer at Slipstream IT, utilizing their expertise in ensuring quality control processes and procedures to meet organizational standards.
John Dorsey is currently pursuing ongoing education in Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Delaware County Community College. Prior to this, they obtained a High School Diploma from Father Judge High School Northeast. John also attended The Chubb Institute, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
