Alex Wu

Alex Wu is a highly skilled Staff Data Scientist at Slope since January 2022, also recognized as a Founding Data Scientist. Prior to this role, Alex served as a Senior Deep Learning Engineer at Nauto, focusing on real-time predictive warning systems, and achieved notable recognition as a four-time hackathon winner and holder of five patents. Alex has a strong background in deep learning, having optimized edge ML perception stacks and introduced deep learning methodologies at the UCLA Brain Mapping Center for MRI image processing. Additional experience includes contributions as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern at DeepScale, a backend developer with ConsenSys, and various internship roles at Symantec and PayNearMe. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UCLA.
