Maria Hurajova

Mária Hurajová has been a general director of the Bratislava Stock Exchange since 2001. She joined the Bratislava Stock Exchange in 1993 as a head of the clearing and settlement department where she was responsible for developing complex systems for clearing and settlement procedures, its implementation, and daily operations related to clearing and settlement of stock exchanges trades. In 1998, she was appointed the deputy general director and, simultaneously, director of the Stock Exchange Trading Division where she was in charge of trading, clearing, and settlement procedures at the Bratislava Stock Exchange. Ms. Hurajová started her professional career with the Foreign Trade Corporation OMNIA where she worked for more than 15 years in various positions. She also has extensive experience in the venture capital industry. Since 1998, she has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Slovak American Enterprise Fund, and since 2004 has been a member of the Board of Directors. Since its inception, she has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Slovak-American Foundation. Ms. Hurajová graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava where she studied foreign trade at the Faculty of Commerce.
