Nicolette Ragone is an experienced early childhood educator currently teaching at SLS Preschool since April 2024. Previously, Nicolette held various teaching positions at Katherine Delmar Burke School, serving as a third grade co-teacher, second grade associate teacher, and kindergarten associate teacher from August 2020 to January 2024. Nicolette also interned at 826 Valencia, focusing on educational programs and lesson plan development, and worked as an English tutor for Spanish students in Barcelona. Early career experiences include serving as a substitute team leader at Galileo Learning and providing private Spanish tutoring from 2014 to 2016. Nicolette earned a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of San Francisco.

SLS strives to instill intellectual curiosity and creative thinking. Children leave SLS with a solid foundation for a successful next step. SLS has a wonderful, creative group of tenured teachers with over 200 years of collective experience. The teachers are inspired by best practices and leading pedagogy in early childhood education. They are dedicated, committed, and teach with intention and purpose. Our vibrant, centrally located building provides a beautiful urban campus to call home. SLS is noted for its welcoming environment, lovely roof garden and play area, and cozy classrooms that have become a treasured place for play and exploration. The goal is to create an atmosphere of joyful learning at school.
