Göran Ericsson serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Forest Sciences at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) since June 2002, and holds the position of fully tenured professor in Wildlife Ecology and previously in Fish and Wildlife Tourism. Ericsson has a breadth of leadership experience within SLU, including roles as Head of the Department of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies and program director for initiatives related to wildlife and forestry. In addition to academic responsibilities, Ericsson is involved in various strategic boards and committees, such as the Norwegian Research Council and the Arctic Research Centre at Umeå University, and is an elected fellow of The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry. With a strong educational background in Zoology and Economics, Ericsson contributes significantly to advancing research and collaboration in environmental management and biodiversity.
