Chris Hall

Chris Hall is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in corporate business development and resource evaluation. Since March 2010, Chris has served as a Technical Expert - Geologist at SM Energy Company, focusing on mergers and acquisitions across multiple basins in the United States and providing guidance on regional acquisition and divestiture activities. Prior to this role, Chris was a lead geologist at Newfield Exploration Mid-Con, specializing in granite wash reservoirs in Wheeler County, Texas, and held positions at Vintage Petroleum Inc. and Penn Virginia Corporation, where responsibilities included generating shale gas and CBM play concepts and assessing shale prospects in the Appalachian Basin. Chris holds a Master of Science degree in Geology from Vanderbilt University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Geography from Western Kentucky University.
