Daniel Bassett

Daniel Bassett is an experienced geologist with a robust background in petroleum geology and reservoir characterization. Currently serving as Geoscience Manager at SM Energy Company since June 2012, Daniel has held various roles including Geoscience Supervisor and Sr. Geologist, focusing on the development and operations of assets in the Permian Basin, as well as involvement in non-operated joint ventures in the Eagle Ford and Woodford shale assets. Prior to SM Energy, experience includes roles at Samson Resources as an Exploration Geologist and at the Bureau of Land Management as a Physical Science Technician. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Fort Lewis College.
