Tom Bertrand

Tom Bertrand, MBA, CPL, is a seasoned landman with extensive experience in business development and land acquisition. Currently serving as Staff Landman - Business Development at SM Energy Company since May 2019, Tom previously held positions including Senior Landman - Permian at the same company and Landman at Ursa Resources Group II LLC. Earlier roles include Lease Acquisition - Project Manager at Conquest Energy LLC and Field Landman at SunCoast Land Services, Inc. Tom began a career in promotions as an intern at KFAN Sports Radio Station in 2009. Tom holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned between 2020 and 2022, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Business Minor from Tulane University, completed in 2012.
