Niels Berger

Niels Berger is an experienced engineer specializing in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer EMC at SMA Solar Technology AG since June 2008, Niels has expertise in EMC consulting, laboratory quality management, troubleshooting, and testing. Responsibilities include managing an ISO17025 accredited EMC laboratory, overseeing EMC knowhow transfer, and maintaining quality management systems. Prior to this role, Niels worked at EMSS, focusing on 3D electromagnetic field simulations and antenna design for various applications. Education includes a Dr.-Ing. degree in Radio frequency from the University of Stuttgart, complemented by a Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. Niels has also contributed to academia as a PhD student at the University of Stuttgart, working on high-resolution microantenna technology and various numerical modeling projects.
