Aurora Porter

Aurora Porter's work experience includes various roles in sales, marketing, and communications. Aurora is currently the Chief Sales Officer at Smallhold, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Sales at Smallhold from January 2021.

Aurora founded and owned Permanent Culture Consulting, a company that partners with growth-stage consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies to bring natural, organic, and specialty products to market. Aurora started this venture in June 2017.

Aurora also worked at Vital Farms, where they held the position of National Sales Director from May 2016 to May 2017. Before that, they served as the National Grocery Sales Manager at Vital Farms from July 2013 until their transition to the role of Director of Marketing and Communications in March 2011. Aurora held this later position until July 2013.

Aurora'searlier work experience includes a role as a Communications Coordinator at TexHealth Central Texas from October 2010 to June 2011, an Editorial Assistant position at Edible Austin from August 2010 to December 2010, and a volunteer role as an Organic Farm volunteer at Trill Farm in June 2010.

Aurora also volunteered as a video editor at Urban Roots from May 2009 to March 2010 and as an Organic Farm volunteer with WWOOF Japan in February 2010, where they worked with a family in Ohara, Japan, to plant winter crops and process rice and soybeans. Additionally, they learned to cook traditional Japanese cuisine and documented the creation of homemade soy sauce, which was a dying art.

Aurora Porter attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism.
