Jan Van Lieshout

Jan Van Lieshout is the CEO and co-owner of Smans NV, having transitioned to this role after a management buy-out in January 2007, alongside colleagues from the sales team, to ensure the company’s future and continued customer support. Jan also manages daily operations through VL Support BVBA, a consulting firm founded in 2015. Prior experience includes serving as General Manager and Account Manager at Smans NV, focusing on technical sales of cable and wire processing machines in the Netherlands, as well as working as a Service and Application Engineer for customer support across the BeNeLux region. Jan's earlier career includes SCADA programming at Egemin for Janssen Pharmaceutica. Jan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and a practical technical degree in Mechanical Design Techniques from VTST Turnhout.
