Karen Smessaert

Karen Smessaert has over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. Karen began their career in 2001 as an Account Manager at Edison. Karen then moved to Publicis New Zealand in 2003 and worked as an Account Manager. In 2005, they joined Darwin BBDO as an Account Director. In 2010, they were an Interim Account Director for Center Parcs Europe at Duval Guillaume, and then an Interim Account Director for Open Vld Election Campaign at Saatchi & Saatchi. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Client Services Director for the European Commission Anti-Tobacco Campaign at Saatchi & Saatchi. In 2014, they were a Consultant for the European Commission account at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide. In 2015, they were an Interim Client Services Director at TBWA\\Worldwide and a Director of Marketing and Communications at Smappee.

Karen Smessaert obtained their Master's degree in Sociology from Ghent University.
