Ahmed Awwad

Ahmed Awwad has over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering. Ahmed began their career in 2016 as a Software Development Intern at Mentor Graphics. In 2018, they joined Swvl as a Software Engineer, where they planned and developed a new architecture for an old vital service in the application. From 2020 to 2021, they worked at BSlashed as a Software Engineer, where they developed a flat sharing app with React Native and Nodejs, and designed, created, and developed a REST-full web app using MERN stack. Currently, they are working at Paymob as a Software Engineer, where they are developing a centralized RESTful web api that manages Paymob services among customers and clients, taking responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and deploying the Back-end of a released project for 3 months, and restructuring the code base to have interface layer's for decoupling and scalability. In 2022, they will join Smarkets as a Software Engineer.

Ahmed Awwad obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The German University in Cairo between 2013 and 2018. During 2017, they completed a Bachelor thesis in Automated Reasoning at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW).
