Shannon Wellman

Shannon Wellman has a strong background in talent management and development. Shannon is currently serving as the Global Head of Talent Management at Smarsh. Prior to this, they held positions such as Sr. Director of Culture and Talent Development at Fate Therapeutics Inc, Sr. Director of Employee Engagement and Talent Development at ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Director of Talent Management and Development at Bridgepoint Education. Shannon has also worked as a Training Consultant at BlessingWhite, a division of GP Strategies, and as an Associate Faculty at Ashford University. Shannon began their career as a Learning & Leadership Development Specialist at HSBC and served as a Training Manager at Aspen Marketing Services (formerly Newgen Results). Throughout their career, they have designed and implemented various talent development initiatives, facilitated training programs, and supported leadership development efforts. Shannon has expertise in instructional design, coaching, and performance evaluation.

Shannon Wellman holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication from UC Santa Barbara and a Master's degree in Organizational Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Ashford University. In terms of additional certifications, Shannon has obtained several, including DDI Certified Facilitator from DDI | Development Dimensions International in 2020, Strategic Human Resource Leadership from Human Capital Institute (HCI) in 2020, and Getting Things Done (GTD) from VitalSmarts in 2020. Other certifications include Crucial Conversations from VitalSmarts in 2019, Situational Leadership from The Ken Blanchard Companies in 2012, Strengths from Gallup in 2012, and Emotional Intelligence from TalentSmart in 2009. Shannon also has certifications in DiSC Workplace Suite from Wiley and InsideOut Coaching (GROW Model) from InsideOut Development. Additionally, Shannon has certifications in Leading at the Speed of Trust from Franklin Covey Gibraltar, Lominger Leadership Architect 101 from Korn Ferry, and Lominger Learning Agility, also from Korn Ferry.
