Jorge Venero has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Jorge began their career in 1997 as the Owner/Operator of JV's Total Racket, where they provided racket stringing and maintenance service to 4 area high school's tennis teams and Rutgers University Men and Women's Teams. In 1999, they joined the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as a US OPEN Ballperson. In 2000, they worked as a Systems Administrator for Sovran Mortgage Corporation, managing and maintaining wired/wireless networks, updating and maintaining Windows and Mac computer systems, and maintaining an active accounts SQL database. In 2001, they became the Theta Zeta Chapter President of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at Rutgers. In 2003, they worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Systems Support. From 2005 to 2010, they worked at Matthijssen Business Systems as a Managed IT Services Sales Engineer, responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing business with existing and potential customers. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Kastle Systems as a Managed Security Consulting Engineer, advising C-Level and IT management in governance of the organization's security architecture and promoting strategic security audits to identify risks and deficiencies. From 2016 to 2022, they worked at Smart Choice Communications as a Security Director, empowering teams with Smart Choice Communications' all-in-one solution and 24x7x365 U.S.-based White Glove Service. Currently, they are a Cyber and Infrastructure Security Consultant at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

Jorge Venero attended Rutgers University from 2000 to 2005, where they studied Computer Engineering and International Business. In 2006, they obtained a CompTIA A+ Certification, a CompTIA Network+ Certification, and a CompTIA IT Operations Specialist - CIOS Stackable Certification. In 2018, they obtained an Axis Security Solutions Partner certification from Axis Communications and an Avigilon ACM Operator I certification from Avigilon. In 2019, they obtained a Certified Integrator for Aperio, a Certified Integrator for Aperio Solutions - Gold, and a Certified Integrator for Integrated Wired Solutions from ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions - US, as well as an Avigilon ACM Operator II certification from Avigilon. In 2020, they obtained a Department of Defense Controlled Unclassified Information CUI Certified certification from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and an IS-914 Surveillance Awareness certification from FEMA. In 2021, they obtained a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA, a Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from LinkedIn, a Verkada Access Control Partner certification from Verkada, and a Verkada Video Security Partner certification from Verkada. In 2022, they obtained an ITIL 4 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, a CompTIA Project+ Certification from CompTIA, and a CompTIA Network Infrastructure Professional - CNIP Stackable Certification from CompTIA. Jorge also holds a Delaware License for Physical Security Systems / Electronic Security Systems (ESS) from the State of Delaware, which they obtained in 2020.
