Phillip Wright is currently the South Carolina State Director at SmartChoice, having served in this role since 2025. With two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Phillip began their journey in 2005, deeply involved in evolving nonstandard auto carrier products and coastal guidelines. Previously, they held positions as Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing and Sales at SmartChoice Agents Program from 2006 to 2014. Phillip holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Winthrop University and studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Gardner-Webb University. Recognized as the 2025 Industry Person of the Year, Phillip emphasizes community involvement while fostering growth and stability for agency partners across South Carolina.
