Trevor Charnley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Trevor is currently the Managing Director at Smart Currency Exchange, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, they were the Head of Private Client at the same company from July to November 2020.
Before joining Smart Currency Exchange, Trevor worked as a Consultant in 2020, undertaking project work for Private Equity, Banks, and International Payments firms. Trevor'sresponsibilities included planning and executing new products and services, conducting business scrutiny prior to M&A activity, and providing recommendations.
From 2010 to 2020, Trevor held several roles at moneycorp. Notably, they were the Head of Client Sales & Operations from May 2018 to March 2020, where they developed and executed the customer sales and retention strategy. Trevor also served as the Head of Dealing & Retention from October 2016 to April 2018, and as the Head of National Accounts from November 2015 to October 2016. Earlier in their tenure at moneycorp, Trevor was a National Account Manager and the Manager of the Business Development Team, responsible for generating new corporate customers.
Prior to their time at moneycorp, Trevor worked at QMSU Services Ltd as the Entertainment & Marketing Manager from September 2005 to March 2010.
Trevor Charnley completed their education at the following institutions: Cambridge Judge Business School in 2023, London South Bank University from 2007 to 2009, Queen Mary University of London from 2002 to 2005, King Edward VII and Queen Mary School from 2000 to 2002, and King Edward VII School from 1995 to 2000. Trevor received a BSc in Economics from Queen Mary University and an MSc in International Finance and Banking from London South Bank University.
