Iain May

Iain May has over 20 years of experience in the field of security architecture and consulting. Their most recent position was as the Head of Security Architecture at Smart DCC, where they were responsible for team management and delivery across all work programs. Prior to that, they worked as the Lead Security Architect at the same company, focusing on risk assessment, mitigation, design governance, and strategy presentation. Before joining Smart DCC, Iain held the role of Senior Cyber Security Architect at Atos. Iain also gained extensive experience at HP Enterprise Security Services, where they worked as a Security operations technical lead, Security consultant, and Account security support Lead. Iain began their career as a Security consultant at the NHS and The Systems practice, and served as an IT Manager at CJ Services. Iain also worked as a Security Presales consultant at Vistorm.

Iain May received their Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Manchester between 1996 and 1999. Before that, they attended The University of Salford from 1995 to 1996, where they pursued a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Software Engineering. Iain completed their secondary education at Stoke High School from 1985 to 1990, though the degree name and field of study are not specified.

In terms of additional certifications, Iain obtained the ZCCA-IA and ZCCA-PA certifications from Zscaler in November 2019. Iain also became a Nozomi Networks Certified Engineer in July 2019, as certified by Nozomi Networks.
