Smart Design
William Merrill is currently a Senior Industrial Designer at Smart Design. Prior to that, they were with Unilever as a designer from October 2011 to April 2012. William has also worked with Loughborough University as a Graduate from July 2011 to September 2011. William's longest professional stint has been with Seymourpowell, where they served as a Designer from April 2012 to June 2017, and earlier as a Student Designer from June 2009 to June 2010. William has also worked as an Educational Designer with Dir/Designers in Residence from August 2008 to August 2009.
William Merrill studied product design and technology at Loughborough University, where they earned a BSc with first class honors. William's field of study was interaction design, mechanics, electronics, materials and processes.
They are on a team with Grace Lin - Senior Visual Designer, Stephanie Yung - Design Director, and Anna Miller - Industrial Designer. William Merrill reports to Kelly Clark, Executive Design Director.
