Jonathan Bergqvist

Jonathan Bergqvist is a Deep Learning Research Engineer at Smart Eye since April 2020, focusing on computer vision algorithms within the AI labs team. Responsibilities include developing deep learning models in PyTorch/Python for various applications such as image classification and face recognition. For a master's thesis, Jonathan explored the use of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to synthesize training data for the Driver Monitoring System, creating a GAN framework capable of generating diverse images of realistic faces under near-infrared conditions. Prior experience includes a project role in business development at Gunnebo, where a new product concept was researched and a patent application successfully written. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Complex Adaptive Systems and a Civilingenjörsexamen in Teknisk fysik from Chalmers University of Technology, along with a Gymnasieexamen in Teknikvetenskap from Aranäsgymnasiet.
