Magnus Gunnarsson

Magnus Gunnarsson is an experienced professional in the automotive and software industries, currently serving as Product Owner for the AIS Software Team at Smart Eye since February 2022. Prior to this role, Magnus held multiple positions at Mitsubishi Electric Automotive in Europe from December 2011 to February 2022, including Product Owner for the PoC Team, where responsibilities included managing team backlogs and coordinating international collaboration. Magnus also served as Feature Leader for Connectivity and Telematics for Volvo Cars' infotainment systems, interfacing between Volvo and Mitsubishi Electric engineering teams. Previous roles included Senior System/Software Engineer, Resident Engineer, and Consultant, with focus areas in connectivity, telematics, and security. Earlier experience includes project management at Volvo Technology, where Magnus was involved in EU ITS research projects, as well as hands-on system development and research in automotive telematics during a master’s thesis project. Magnus holds an MSc in Computer Science from Chalmers University of Technology and has additional education from the University of Gothenburg.
