Philippe Montigny

President, Scientific Committee at Smart Global Governance

Philippe Montigny has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Philippe is currently the President of the Scientific Committee at Smart Global Governance, where they ensure that digital solutions are compliant with legal requirements and meet the needs of Chief Compliance Officers. Prior to this, they were the President of CIRCE FINANCE. Montigny also owns and operates Tenuta Villa Ambretta, an olive oil farm and accommodation facility.

Before their current roles, Montigny held multiple positions at ETHIC Intelligence, including President of the Certification Committee and Founder and CEO. At ETHIC Intelligence, they developed audit methods for anti-corruption systems certification.

Montigny's earlier experience includes serving as an Ombudsman at OECD, Executive Director and Partner at INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIES, and various positions at OECD, including Counsellor and Special Assistant. Philippe also worked as a Field Officer at UNHCR, negotiating safe passage for refugees and overseeing humanitarian programs. Prior to that, they were the Head of the Evaluation division at the Center for Long-term Forecasting and Evaluation.

Philippe Montigny earned a Master's Degree in Philosophy from the Université Paris-Sorbonne in the period of 1977 to 1985. In 2006, they also became an Auditor at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) in the field of Institute for Advanced Studies in Defense. Additionally, they studied Philosophy at Heidelberg University from 1979 to 1980. Philippe completed their Baccalaureat at Saint Louis de Gonzague-Franklin in 1977.
