Daniel Brown has worked in the tech industry since 1998. Daniel'sfirst role was as a Senior Evangelist at Adobe Systems, where they were responsible for defining product development, marketing, and sales. In 2005, they moved to PageDNA as the Director of Customer Experience, overseeing interface design and usability, documentation, training content, and refining system workflow. In 2008, they became the Senior Evangelist for North America at GridIron Software, coordinating with internal and external resources to define, test, market, and launch workflow visualization tools. From 2009 to 2011, they worked at Resolution Audio as the Director of Marketing and User Education, driving marketing communications, product photography, usability, and future technology integration. During this time, they also worked as a contractor for Lytro Inc. in user education. In 2011, Daniel founded Download Culture, a consultancy specializing in initial product and marketing efforts for budding startup companies. Finally, from 2013 to the present, they have been the Head of UX/UI at Smart Management, responsible for all aspects of user experience and user interface for EHR focused on substance abuse and behavioral health.
Daniel Brown attended Chabot College from 1986 to 1988 and Stanford University Continuing Education in 2010, studying Marketing. Daniel obtained their Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Management and Strategy Institute in January 2019.
