Matt Thomson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership and financial management across various sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Moore Australia since July 2024, Matt also holds the position of Board Director and Chair of Finance, Audit, and Risk at Smart Precinct NQ, where the focus is on fostering collaboration and supporting business startups. Prior roles include CEO and Managing Partner at Carey Group, CFO and Director of Corporate Services at Townsville City Council—managing a substantial operating and capital budget—and Asia Pacific Lead Partner at PwC, where Matt led the Project Advisory practice. Furthermore, Matt has held senior positions at Worley, Deloitte, and Queensland Treasury, culminating a robust career that began with a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from The University of Queensland and an MBA from Curtin University.
