Jim Barden, PMP, MS. ED.

Jim Barden, PMP, MS. ED. is an experienced project manager with a diverse background spanning multiple industries. Jim currently serves as a Senior Information Technology Project Manager at Smart Resources VA, where they lead project teams in various areas such as conducting a HR virtual work impact study in response to COVID-19.

Prior to their current role, they worked at GoochlandCares as a Senior Information Technology Project Manager, leading a project team in the development of the organization's IT infrastructure for a new building.

Before that, Jim held the position of Senior Project Manager at Indivior, where they prepared and implemented IT systems. Jim also worked as a Financial Advisor and Program Manager at First Street Financial Advisors, LLC, where they managed back-office portfolio management systems and assisted clients with portfolio performance and growth models.

Jim has also worked as a Senior Project Manager at KellyMitchell Group, Inc, where they facilitated planning and managed the deployment of network appliances for Capitol One's Financial Data Center Consolidation program. Additionally, they served as a Managing Director at First Financial Advisors, INC, overseeing the deployment of client account aggregation systems and the design of a cloud-based document storage repository.

Earlier in their career, Jim worked as a Principal Project Manager and Senior Program Manager at Capital One Financial, leading various projects and programs such as Oracle upgrades and Agile development initiatives. Jim also held senior program and project management roles at HighMarkCompanies, LLC, MAXIMUS, and Apex Systems.

Jim's extensive work experience showcases their expertise in project and program management, IT systems implementation, and financial advisory services. Jim holds a PMP certification and a Master's degree in Education.

Jim Barden, PMP, MS. ED. completed their education in a chronological order. Jim first attended Highland Springs High School from 1964 to 1967, where they pursued an Academic degree with a focus on Business. Following this, they enrolled in Virginia Commonwealth University from 1967 to 1971 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Education. Lastly, Jim attended James Madison University from 1972 to 1974, during which they earned a Master of Science degree in Business Education.
