Ashley Toye

Ash Toye is a Professor of Cell Biology at the University of Bristol, where since August 2017, Ash has also served as the Director of the NIHR Blood and Transplant Research Unit focusing on Red Cell products. Additionally, Ash holds the position of NHSBT Principal Investigator and has been involved with NHS Blood and Transplant since April 2023. As a co-founder of Scarlet Therapeutics Ltd since August 2022, Ash continues to contribute to the field of biochemistry, a discipline in which Ash obtained both a BSc Hons and a PhD from the University of Bristol between 1991 and 1997.
