Abhishek Kar, P.Eng.

Abhishek Kar, P.Eng. has been working at Smart Skin Technologies as a Senior Design Engineer since January 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Engineer from February 2014 to January 2019. Before joining Smart Skin Technologies, Abhishek worked at the University of New Brunswick. Abhishek worked as a Graduate Research Assistant from September 2011 to April 2014, conducting research on Noise profiling and Topology Assessment of Microgrid Substations. Abhishek also completed their M.Sc.E in Electrical Engineering during this time, focusing on monitoring the effects of RF noise on ZigBee-based wireless communication. Abhishek also served as a Teaching Assistant and Peer Mentor/Engineering Leader during their time at the university, from September 2010 to February 2014.

Abhishek Kar, P.Eng. obtained a B.Sc. degree in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. Abhishek completed this degree program between 2007 and 2011. Subsequently, Abhishek pursued further education and earned a M.Sc. degree in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering from the same university from 2011 to 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Abhishek Kar has also acquired several certifications. Abhishek obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) designation from the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists NB (APEGNB) in March 2022. Furthermore, they completed a Workplace Standard First Aid course with CPR C & AED, which was provided by St. John Ambulance First Aid industry training & Health in May 2014.
