Eletrical Design Lead at Smart Skin Technologies

Jonathan Halse has a strong background in hardware engineering and design. Jonathan started their career at BlackBerry in 2003, where they worked as a Hardware Designer and Senior Hardware Designer. During their time at BlackBerry, they successfully launched eight handheld products and managed the entire design cycle for each product. This included conducting feasibility studies, electrical design and schematic capture, PCB design, simulation, verification and debug, design for test and manufacture, BOM/cost optimization, device certification, and mass production.

In 2014, Jonathan joined NETGEAR as a Senior Hardware Engineer and worked there for a year. In 2016, they joined Syntronic as a Senior Hardware Engineer and played a key role in hardware development. Jonathan worked at Syntronic until 2020.

In 2018, Jonathan joined SmartSkin Technologies as the Electrical Design Lead and contributed to the development of innovative technologies. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at East Coast Innovation, a position they have held since 2020.

Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated a strong skill set in hardware engineering and design, project management, and leadership.

Jonathan Halse obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University, which they attended from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed another Bachelor's Degree in Science, specializing in Biology and Chemistry, at the University of New Brunswick from 1993 to 1997.
