Matthew Pettifer

Matthew Pettifer has a strong background in DevOps engineering and system administration. Matthew most recently held the position of Senior DevOps Engineer at SmartSkin Technologies starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they served as a DevOps Engineer III at Lifesize from July 2020 to October 2021. In this role, Matthew was responsible for maintaining AWS infrastructure and managing various database technologies.

Before joining Lifesize, Matthew worked at Serenova where they held multiple roles. Matthew was a DevOps Engineer III from July 2019 to July 2020 and a DevOps Engineer from July 2018 to July 2019. Matthew played a vital role in developing automation processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Synoptek as a Systems Engineer III from September 2007 to July 2018. During this time, they managed multi-tenant hosted exchange and AWS environments for customers, focusing on performance and cost optimization.

Matthew's career started at Xerox, where they worked as a Product Support Tech from June 2005 to September 2007.

Matthew Pettifer attended Horizon College in Fredericton, NB from 2004 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Network Systems Technician, with a focus on Information Technology. Furthermore, in March 2017, they obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Kryterion.
