Wendell Wilson

Wendell Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Wendell began their career as a Systems Software Engineer at TSM Corporation, where they maintained LANs for Navy Pilots using WinNT Server and workstations with Win95 and WinNT.

Wendell then worked as a PC Consultant at NetTech, managing software involving E-commerce, Web, and Network Technology. Wendell also provided support for workstations and laptops in large networks.

Following this, Wendell became a Software Engineer at Custom Mfg. and Engineering, working on DoD C4ISR projects and researching tracking, acquisition, and reconnaissance technologies using Microsoft software and hardware.

Wendell then joined ATCS as an IT/GIS Analyst/Assessor, where they played a crucial role in establishing a functional computer network in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Wendell deployed and configured IBM Thinkpads for disaster recovery teams.

Wendell's experience in GIS continued at Planning Technology Inc, where they managed complex mapping analysis projects using ESRI ArcGIS and Autodesk MapGuide/Author/Server.

At Loving Care of St. Petersburg, Wendell served as a System and Assistant Administrator, managing a non-profit Assisted Living Facility and contributing to its growth. Wendell created forms, databases, and MS Office documents to facilitate resident care.

Wendell then worked as an IT Consultant at WorldTravelScience, troubleshooting and maintaining computer infrastructures and networks using MS tools and enterprise software.

At IBM (Artech), Wendell served as a Remote WinTel Server Administrator, supporting a 19K+ server network for Kaiser Permanente. Wendell remotely administered security patches, performed troubleshooting, and managed secure login credentials.

Subsequently, Wendell joined Lenovo/Enterprise Business Group as a Hardware/Software Test Engineer, providing in-depth input and extensive testing for new and unreleased Lenovo products.

Wendell'smost recent role was as a Hardware Server Engineer at Smart Source USA. Wendell installed and upgraded HP Proliant servers, Lenovo workstations, teller machines, and Lexmark printers in multiple locations.

Throughout their career, Wendell has gained expertise in hardware and software testing, network administration, troubleshooting, and GIS analysis.

Wendell Wilson has a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science from Pratt Institute, which they earned from 1975 to 1980. In 2003 to 2004, they studied Geographic Information Science and Cartography at the University of South Florida. Wendell also obtained a certification in Assisted Living Core Administrator License from the American Health Care Association in January 2013. Additionally, they pursued several technical certifications, including MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) from Techskills in 2010 to 2011, and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) from CTEC in 2004 to 2005, specializing in Bootcamp Windows 2000.
