Abdulhaq (Al) Alkhalidi has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Abdulhaq (Al) started their career as a Visiting Professor at Duquesne University in 1997. In 2001, they became the CEO of FluidPhase Technologies Inc., where they invented a continuous chemical engineering process based on supercritical fluid technology and received two patents. Alkhalidi then worked as the First Science Officer at Stilldreaming LLC from 2010 to 2013, focusing on re-refining used engine oil and producing bio-diesel using a patented supercritical fluid process. In 2010, they also served as the Chief Scientific Officer at ReclamateGlobal LLC. Most recently, Alkhalidi has been working at smart tire recycling, Inc. as the CTO since 2014.

Abdulhaq (Al) began their academic journey in 1977 at the University of Leeds, where they completed their Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in Biochemistry in 1981. Following this, they enrolled at The American University in Washington DC from 1986 to 1993, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. During their time at The American University, they focused their studies on Philosophy, specifically in the field of Organic/Analytical Chemistry.
