Spencer Gardner

Spencer Gardner has extensive work experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing and improving software systems for various industries.

Spencer began their career at IMSAR, LLC in 2010, where they worked as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they developed a software system to manage geolocated data, including image processing, database storage, and creating a front-end GUI application. Spencer successfully tackled challenges such as handling high-resolution images, unreliable datalinks, and supporting various radar types and modes. Spencer worked at IMSAR until November 2018.

Following their time at IMSAR, Spencer joined Teledyne FLIR as a Software Engineer. Spencer contributed to the development of software for the R80D SkyRaider drone, focused on military sales. Spencer added new features to the system, improved compliance, facilitated 3rd party integrations, and created a GUI application to support manufacturing teams. Additionally, they made enhancements to the GUI controller of the aircraft. Spencer's tenure at Teledyne FLIR spanned from December 2018 to March 2022.

Spencer then joined RedSky Engineering as a Senior Software Engineer. Spencer'sresponsibilities included creating an iPhone and Android app that tracked users' symptoms, integrating with a Shopify store for mobile shopping, mentoring younger developers, and managing DevOps and server deployments. Spencer also contributed to the development of a custom backend REST framework for faster backend service development. Spencer was with RedSky Engineering from March 2022 to February 2023.

Currently, Spencer is employed at Smart Vision Works Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer since February 2023.

Spencer Gardner attended Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
