Milu Cherian

Milu Cherian is an experienced oncology analyst with a background in chemical biology and therapeutics. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst at Putnam since January 2022 and as a Senior Oncology Analyst at SmartAnalyst since September 2017, Milu has a strong focus on preclinical development and small molecule discovery. Prior experience includes a five-year tenure at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where Milu led a project involving the identification of nuclear receptor modulators. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Physiology and an MS in Physiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a B.Tech in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University Chennai. Milu also held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois, contributing to research on hormone receptor inhibitors and leading undergraduate lab courses.
