Chris O'Day

Chris O'Day currently serves as Assistant Vice President and Commercial Underwriter on the Small Business Underwriting (SBU) team at SmartBank since November 2020, focusing on evaluating and underwriting a diverse range of commercial loans through comprehensive financial analysis. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Tax Preparer at Jerry L Tipton CPA from December 2016 to December 2023, assisting individuals and businesses with tax preparation. Experience also includes a tenure as Jr. Credit Manager and Credit Assistant at FirstBank from July 2017 to November 2020, as well as roles at UT Federal Credit Union as a Financial Consultant and School Branch Coordinator from December 2013 to July 2017. Academically, Chris holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Tusculum University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
