Ciara McDonnell

Ciara McDonnell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ciara started their career in 2003 as a Shop Assistant at McDonnells XL, a family-run retail business. In 2007, they joined the Football Association of Ireland as a Member of Coaching Staff and Head Coach. Ciara worked on various soccer programs and took on additional responsibilities as a camp coordinator and head coach.

In 2012, McDonnell became a Marketing Executive at Mayo International Cup, where they were involved in press releases, logo designs, website development, and managing budgets. Ciara then moved on to Martin O Neill Electrical as a Marketing and Sales Executive, where they created marketing strategies, implemented email campaigns, and developed marketing literature.

From 2013 to 2017, McDonnell worked as a Digital Marketing Executive at BrightWork, specializing in inbound and outbound marketing campaigns, content and email marketing, social media management, and project management.

Since 2017, they have been a part of SmartBear, starting as a Marketing Manager for EMEA and then progressing to roles such as Associate Director of International Marketing, Director of International & Channel Marketing, and currently, Director of Growth Marketing, Outbound/ABX. In their current role, they lead a team to drive marketing strategy and growth programs across EMEA and APAC regions.

Additionally, in 2015, McDonnell co-owned Killala Bike Hire, providing bike and accessory rentals along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Throughout their career, McDonnell has gained experience in various marketing disciplines, including strategic planning, campaign management, content development, social media marketing, and analytics.

Ciara McDonnell holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Galway, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Ciara also completed a Master's degree in Strategic Marketing from the same university, which they pursued from 2011 to 2012. Ciara has acquired several certifications, including Google Analytics Academy, Inbound Marketing Certification, Email Marketing Certification, Inbound Certification, Webinar Academy Promoter Pro, Diploma in Personal Nutrition, and Diploma in Photoshop.
