JP Cooney currently serves as an Enterprise Account Executive at SmartBear, a global leader in software development and quality assurance tools, since July 2018. In this role, JP helps customers in the EMEA region achieve their business objectives through technology-based solutions that maximize ROI. Previous roles at SmartBear include Senior Team Lead for the New Business Functional Test in EMEA and Account Executive for the UK and Nordics, emphasizing the acceleration of software development and testing processes. Outside of technology, JP has a background in professional rugby, playing for Connacht Rugby from 2012 to 2018 and serving as Senior Head Coach for Galway Corinthians RFC until May 2022. JP began a career in quality control at Vistakon and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Limerick.
