Mel Gage

Mel Gage is an experienced Sales Engineer at SmartBear since August 2019, with a rich background in technical and sales roles across various companies. Prior to SmartBear, Mel operated as a self-employed consultant at GageWorx, LLC from February 2017 to August 2019, and worked as a Product Technical Consultant at Webroot from April 2016 to January 2017. Mel's extensive experience includes significant roles at Verizon Wireless, where responsibilities included managing data solutions for diverse customer segments and overseeing specialty networking implementations. Mel also contributed to BESTBUY Inc as a Business Technology Specialist, Celestica as a Test Engineer, Rhythms NetConnections as a Network Engineer, LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES as a Test Engineer, and served in the United States Marine Corps as an Avionics Technician. Mel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, obtained between 1995 and 1997.
