Sr. Headend Engineer at Smart City Networks

Joe DellaGuardia began their work experience in 1980 as a System Engineer for Broward Cable Incorporated, where they developed a Q.C. Lab to repair and maintain electronic equipment. Joe then worked at Albuquerque Cable Television from 1982 to 1985, overseeing various departments and implementing AML receive sites. From 1986 to 1992, they served as a Technical Manager at United Cable, overseeing daily operations and implementing a fully scrambled, two-way system. Joe then worked at United International from 1992 to 1995 as the Director of Engineering, designing FTTNode cable systems in Spain and Venezuela. From 1996 to 1997, they worked as an Applications Engineer - International at Security Engineers Group, and then as a Consultant at Mystis Solutions in 1997. From 1998 to 2003, they were a Technical Manager at Adelphia Cable of Miami, overseeing departments and working with IT. In 2006, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Home Town Cable and as a Sr. Headend Engineer at Smart City TV, where they oversaw the operation of IPTV and analog television headends. Joe DellaGuardia retired in February 2014.

Joe DellaGuardia's education history includes several institutions and fields of study. Joe attended Miami Dade College from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a COMPTIA A+ Certification in the field of study. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Miami from 1998 to 1999, focusing on Microsoft MCSE. Further back, Joe attended Carroll College from 1990 to 1992, majoring in Electrical Engineering. In the early 1970s, they pursued Electronics Technology and Computer Controls at DeVry University from 1972 to 1974. Joe'seducation also includes a stint in the U.S. Navy as an Electronics and Radioman from 1966 to 1967. Joe's high school education was completed at Bay Shore High School from 1958 to 1962, although the specific field of study is not provided.
