Anja Träger is currently a Group Leader at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where they lead an independent junior research group focused on the development of new polymers for cellular transfer. Anja studied biochemistry with a concentration in genetics at Universität Bayreuth, obtaining a Diplom degree in 2007. They have also contributed to research as a founding member and scientific advisor at SmartDyeLivery since 2014 and participated in research stays at the University of York and Universität Tokio.
