Cody St. John, MPA

Cody St. John, MPA has had a diverse range of work experiences. Starting in 2010, Cody worked as an Assistant Debate Coach and Public Speaking Instructor at Stephen F. Austin State University. During this time, they focused on regaining national prominence for the speech/debate program and instructed over sixty students in a public speaking course.

From 2012 to 2013, Cody served as a District Executive at the Boy Scouts of America, where they gained experience in nonprofit leadership and management.

In 2013, Cody joined Convergint Technologies, initially as a Sales Engineer for Electronic Security Systems & Integration, before transitioning to an Account (Sales) Executive role from 2015 to 2018.

In 2018, Cody became a Regional Sales Manager for the South Central US region at Gunnebo, a leading specialist in entrance control technology. During their tenure, Cody contributed to the company's success by managing a wide range of security products, including speed gates, optical turnstiles, high-security booths, revolving doors, and full height turnstiles.

In 2021, Cody moved on to become a Business Development Manager for the Southern US region at Kastle Systems, where they played a vital role in expanding the company's business.

Most recently, in 2023, Cody joined Smarter Security as a Regional Sales Manager for the South Central US region, where they continue to utilize their expertise in sales and business development.

Cody St. John, MPA, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication & Transformational Leadership (Minor) in 2009 from Stephen F. Austin State University. Cody then pursued higher education and completed their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at Stephen F. Austin State University from 2009 to 2011. During their MPA studies, they focused on their thesis, which explored the subjects of Transformational Communication & Organizational Leadership.
